Enormous window for Quinta do Lago resort

Projects from Holland Aqua Sight B.V. Aqua Sight are always unique. What they all have in common is the need for extreme care. This project is no exception. Our colleagues had the task of handling an acrylic window weighing over 1,000 kilograms this week. The combination of this acrylic window, 4.6 x 2.5 meter, in the frame forms a skylight where 30 cm of water will be placed on-site on the Quinta do Lago Resort in Portugal.

In many cases, we hoist the acrylic windows into the stainless steel frame. In this project, we carefully lifted the stainless steel frame around the acrylic window with utmost precision. After ensuring everything was correctly aligned, the sealing was applied. Following the curing of the sealant, the water tightness will be tested, and the window can be transported to its final destination.
